This small church set behind York Minster still retains the old family box pews from the 17th century
into each pew a stainless steel bowel is suspended with a small speaker attached to its base
spoken text of 100 names selected from the register of deaths from the 18th century  
it's resonance vibrates the water
on three projection screens images of 100 contemporary figures pass fleetingly by
